Jeanne O'Connor was
first introduced to barbershop harmony and the Village Vocal Chords on April 11,
1961 at the chorus musical celebration of its affiliation with the international
organization, Harmony, Inc. This shy teenager was immediately hooked on Harmony
and soon thereafter took her place in the VVC lead section. The next 47 years of
Jeanne's barbershop background contain a wealth of experience and
accomplishments in many facets of this unique musical craft.

SCALE BLAZERS (1964); bass of ESPRIT DE CORPS (1974); baritone of
KALEIDOSCOPE, (1987); replacement bass of VOICES (2002) and bass in U4X (2008).
In addition to instructing at innumerable international and area educational
seminars and coaching other choruses and quartets, Jeanne has also contributed
her time and abilities administratively. She served four years as Chairman of
the Contest & Judging Program and is currently a certified Chairman of Judges.
Jeanne served on the International Board of Directors (IBOD) of Harmony, Inc.
from 1982-1990 in several capacities including International President for two
years. Re-elected to the IBOD in 2000, she again served a two-year term as
International President, and is currently the Vice-President Membership.
